What a whirlwind the last several months have been!
The last I wrote, I was in the middle of a fundraising campaign to be able to publish the book I’ve co-authored. I am ecstatic to say that just a few days ago, the proof copy arrived from the printers! We’ve found a few typos and other small errors to fix, but it’s only a matter of a day’s work to fix it, and then we’ll have our final version available for the public! For the moment, here’s a picture of what it looks like.
If you’ve only just started reading this blog, and didn’t read my last, few posts, particularly “Coming Out…in a manner of speaking” or “Trigger Release for Inner Peace” then let me bring you up to speed. Long story short, over the last couple of years, I’ve developed more than a passing interest in energy healing and spirituality, to the point that, with my wonderful colleague, Helen Sladden – a phenomenal Reiki master and intuitive counsellor – we have developed a brand new alternative healing modality called the Trigger Release Method. The book I am referring to is Trigger Release: Returning to Wholeness , wherein we describe and teach how to use this methodology.
Also since that last post, my partner and I have taught two Practitioner Training Workshops. We now have a handful of individuals who will soon to be experts in TRM, ready to open up their own practices to assist others. You know, it’s one thing to believe that you’ve created something that may improve the lives of others; it’s an entirely new feeling when another person believes in you and your vision enough to wish to share it, thereby taking it further than you could do alone. It is humbling, flattering, awe-inspiring, and frightening all at once!
So you can see, my attention is clearly divided. While my work as a dietitian has been very satisfying and rewarding for many years, it now pales in comparison to this new frontier I have entered. As much as I do still enjoy teaching my clients good habits that will, when consistently implemented, create long-lasting health benefits, it’s nothing like the feeling I get when my client is suddenly able to eat a food that used to make him sick; or when her pain disappears in an instant; or that knot of anxiety in his stomach dissapates; or she tells me that she finally, after however many years it has been for her, feels “whole.”
So I’m both excited, (and somewhat freaking out) to announce that I’ve decided that at the end of this month, I will be leaving dietetics to pursue energy work full-time. (Translation: I’m not planning to pay the >$1K per year to maintain my registration with the College of Dietitians and membership with Dietitians of Canada so I can keep the letters RD after my name, without the desire to primarily practice as an RD.)
Sadly, it means that after this month I’ll be stopping this blog (my current website uses those protected letters, RD, after my name, which will no longer be permissible,) although that doesn’t mean I will stop blogging. In fact, now that I have more clarity of purpose, I anticipate blogging more. It will just be…different.
Until then, I’ve got a few posts in me before I change over, and once I have my new newsletter database set up, I’ll provide details on how to subscribe to my new site should you wish to follow me there.
If you want to know more about Trigger Release, and get a glimpse into how it has managed to pull me away from the career I thought I’d be following for life, then check out the website www.triggerreleasemethod.com for details. If you’re curious to see for yourself what it’s all about, then look at my new website www.healfromyourpast.com. In the interest of getting as many people to try it as possible, I’m offering everyone a free first session, so you really can “try before you buy.” I’m confident you won’t be disappointed.
Signing off for now!
